1. General

1.1. When the user registers for the web services offered by RAAL, as defined in the Terms of Use and/or when the user places orders, RAAL collects and processes personal data concerning them.

This data is collected regardless of the method of registration for web services and, in particular, via RAAL's web interfaces www.raal.be or www.store.raal.be, social networks or mobile applications that may be made available to users by RAAL.

1.2. As a data controller, RAAL has applied for registration with the Commission for the Protection of Privacy, with whom it is currently being registered.

1.3. The user expressly authorizes RAAL to process personal data in accordance with Belgian and European privacy protection legislation and within the limits defined by this Privacy Policy.

 

2. Nature of data processed and purposes of data processing

2.1. Nature of personal data processed

The data processed by RAAL are as follows:

• Names, first names, gender, date of birth, language, postal address, email address and contact details, hobbies, profession collected during registration for web services, as indicated in Article 1.1, and/or during any order;
• information that may be exchanged between RAAL and the consumer, particularly by email, in the context of the provision of web services;
• bank details that are collected during online payment operations for the execution of these payment operations and refund operations.

The personal data communicated by the user are recorded in a file that is controlled and remains at all times under the responsibility of RAAL.

2.2. Purposes of personal data processing

Personal data is collected and processed by RAAL for the following purposes:

• The provision of web services and the execution of orders, including the issuance and eventual recovery of invoices; Information to the user about products and services offered by RAAL;
• Advertising and marketing, including the sending of paper or electronic newsletters;
• Communication of promotional offers from RAAL or its partners and the offer to participate in competitions;
• Conducting satisfaction surveys and market studies.

The identification number within the Commission for the Protection of Privacy in the context of personal data processing is currently being processed.

 

3. Right of access, rectification and objection

3.1. Users whose data has been collected may at any time and free of charge ask RAAL for access to the information concerning them that RAAL holds. They have the right to request the updating or rectification of information that is erroneous or incomplete.

They may object to the processing of data concerning them by asserting legitimate reasons, provided that this does not make it more difficult for RAAL to fulfill its obligations.

The user can in all circumstances at any time object to the processing of their personal data by RAAL for marketing purposes and for the future.

Personal data will be deleted if the User terminates their registration or, at the latest, at the end of a period of 10 years from the date of the user's last order of services or products.

3.2. Concerned persons may exercise the rights described in Article 3.1 by contacting RAAL at the contact details indicated in Article 1.2.

 

4. Security and Confidentiality

4.1. RAAL implements all reasonable means to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal data it processes.

This data will not be transmitted to third parties other than RAAL's partners, unless:

• This is necessary for the provision of web services, including the execution of an order;
• The user has given their consent for such a transfer;
• If this transfer is required by a competent, judicial or administrative authority.

4.2. The user is also informed and consents that the personal data collected may be transmitted to RAAL's partners, particularly when the user chooses to use the services of these partners from RAAL's website, social networks or a mobile application.

The partner will not be considered a data processor within the meaning of the law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy. RAAL disclaims all responsibility for the processing of the user's personal data by the partner who provides its own services in its own name and on its own behalf.

4.3. Finally, the user declares to be informed and consents that third-party companies may occasionally handle certain data during technical services necessary for the provision of web services or intended to ensure the correct functioning and updating of the website, a mobile application or, more generally, RAAL's information tools.

Personal data may therefore be transmitted to intermediaries and financial institutions involved in online payment operations for orders of products or services offered by RAAL.

 

5. Navigation Information

5.1. RAAL may store certain "visitor information" concerning visitors to its website, such as, for example, the domain name and the address of the host computer from which they access the Internet, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer used, the date and time of the visit, and the URLs from which visitors reach the site.

This navigation information is not linked to data that identifies visitors and is destroyed after a certain time.

5.2. Navigation information is collected via cookies. Cookies are text files placed on computer hard drives by a web page server. RAAL uses this information to analyze and measure its site's traffic and to offer the consumer certain functionalities.

In addition, cookies are used by RAAL to target advertising displayed on the website based on the user's profile. Browsers can be configured to refuse cookies. However, the user is informed that certain features of the website can only be ensured through cookies.

5.3. The processing of navigation information described in this section may be carried out by third-party companies, such as the American company Google Inc. via its Google Analytics tool.
